MEDI 8129 Health Systems Science Year 1
The Health Systems Science Module Year 1 provides the foundation of health systems, health care delivery, insurance, population health and public health, policy, ethics, social and cultural contexts of medicine. Students are introduced to critical skills including, professionalism, research, and respect for cultural norms and values. Learning activities occur in large and small groups as well as self-directed learning which include team-based learning and case-based analysis and discussion. Proposed assessments include discrete point formative and summative activities and exams, simulations, oral and written assignments as well as self-assessments.
