PSYC 8328 Health Psychology: Cognitive, Affective & Physiological Bases for Behavior

The purpose of this course is to introduce the major principles and concepts of health psychology. Application and integration of the principal biological, psychological, and social factors that influence health and the development of disease will be emphasized. The student will also be exposed to the issues related to psychosocial adjustment among individuals with chronic medical conditions. The students will gain knowledge of aforementioned issues in both adult and pediatric populations.
