PSYC 8371 Neuropsychological Assessment

The purpose of this course is for students to develop the ability to administer, score, and interpret most of the current neuropsychological tests used to evaluate pediatric and adult populations. Students will be exposed to the different types of tests currently utilized to assess attention/concentration, memory, language, motor functioning, visual constructive/nonverbal skills and, executive functions. The students will gain a basic understanding of how to evaluate holistically the patient's cognitive functioning and how to write comprehensive neuropsychological reports.
