Pre-MBA Graduate Certificate

Overview

The Pre-MBA certificate provides access to the MBA program for motivated students who may not meet clear admission to the MBA. The Pre-MBA Graduate Certificate includes three MBA courses in accounting, finance, and statistics that are foundational to the MBA curriculum. Meeting the Progression Requirements of the Pre-MBA Certificate will signal student readiness for the rigor of the MBA degree program.

An accelerated online version of the program is also available. Students are not allowed to alternate enrollment in accelerated and traditional program courses.

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to the Pre-MBA graduate certificate, students must submit evidence of having earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or a recognized international equivalent.

Application for admission must be submitted prior to the published deadline. The application is available at www.utrgv.edu/gradapply.

Progression Requirements

The Pre-MBA contains the three MBA Foundation courses. Students seeking admission to the MBA program must earn a grade of B in each certificate course and must complete the certificate with a 3.0.
