POLS 4360 Class, Power, & the State

Class structure, the distribution of power, and the role of the state in advanced capitalist societies with a focus on the United States. Required reading will include contemporary political theorists and political economists, who develop competing arguments about the relationship between capitalism and the state and efforts to balance equality and liberty.
