REHS 7340 Bilingual Assessment and Testing
This course is an introduction to English and Spanish counseling related assessments with a focus on measurement concepts, instruments, procedures, techniques and practices used in the systematic appraisal of Spanish speaking clients. The students will understand the importance of language and other cultural factors when norming assessments and interpreting assessment reports and gain culturally appropriate assessment and testing skills in Spanish through multi-modal participation. Best practices for culturally competent assessment will be discussed throughout the course. The course is taught in English and in Spanish.
