SURG 9533 Trauma Surgery-DHR
Students will be an integral part of the Trauma Surgery service at DHR. Teaching rounds on all trauma inpatients are conducted daily, with trauma surgery clinic occurring weekly. Participation in weekly general surgery educational conferences as well as separate trauma surgery educational conferences is mandatory. Students will assist in providing trauma call coverage during the days regularly and also participate in overnight in-house trauma surgery call (average once weekly).
Prerequisite: Successful completion of MS3 surgical clerkship, SURG 9110.
