BADM 9313 Academic Research and Teaching Career Preperation and Planning

This course will provide PhD students in all business disciplines who aspire to an academic career with training and knowledge that will help them in securing an entry-level faculty position and launching their careers as university professors. The course will assist the student in preparing an effective position application package, and provide training in preparing to present their original research as part of the job search process. The course will also provide the student with an opportunity to identify and develop at least one original research project early in their programs which will position them to begin developing a pipeline of intellectual contributions early in their programs. In addition, the student will be exposed to the basics of college teaching, course development and management.
