MASC 6320 Studies in Chicanx/Laitnx Schooling

This course is an intensive analysis of Chicanx & Latinx educational experiences. This course is concerned with how Chicanx & Latinx/@ educational experiences reflect coloniality and how we as educators can create transformative experiences for Chicanxs and Latinxs grounded in decolonialism. The overall objective of the course is to apply Chicanx and Latinx Studies analyses to the real-world by documenting instances of colonlality as reflected in narratives, poetry, testimonios, curriculum, textbooks, policies, social media and other practices and performances in order to develop critical interventions, practices, end epistemologies that address the needs of Raza students.
