UXUI 6305 Web Interface Development

This course provides an introduction to programming and user-facing practices in the context of web-based development. Students will learn contemporary tools and best practices for constructing and styling websites using Hypertext Markup Language and Cascading Style Sheets, as well as how to add interactivity to websites using Javascript. Course content includes web coding fundamentals (e.g. tags, programming logic, and style controls), and provides hands-on practice via production of a functional website. Students will apply principles of user-centered design, information chunking, website structure and navigation, and cross-browser compatibility, among others, to website-building projects.
