CIVE 4340 Advanced Asphalt Pavement Materials
This course will focus on advanced asphalt pavement materials and construction topics such as: Asphalt Binders; Aggregates for Asphalt Mixtures; Asphalt Mixtures Batching, Volumetric & Design; Asphalt Plant Production; Quality Assurance; Using RAP in Mixtures; Warm Mix Additives; Field Engineering; and Balanced Mix Design. In addition to covering national standards and procedures, the course will focus on local agencies approaches such as State Departments of Transportation.
Prerequisite
Grade of C or better in
CIVE 3440.
