PSYH 9537 Sub-Internship in Psychiatry
This Sub-Internship is offered for 4th year medical students who have completed their core Psychiatry Clerkship, who are interested in Psychiatry. This Sub-Internship includes participation at UT Health RGV Clinical sites and upon availability UTRGV School of Medicine affiliate sites. The students will work with residents and attending physicians in Psychiatry and subject to availability may work with an interdisciplinary team. In addition to individual supervision, subject to availability the students may be able to participate in clinical case conferences. By the end of the rotation, the student will present on a topic concerning or relating to Psychiatry. Clinical duties are Monday-Friday. Weekend duties will be at the discretion of the attending physician(s). Students will be evaluated using the standard medical student evaluation form.
Prerequisite: MS3 in Psychiatry.
