ASLI 4340 Interpreting for the Stage
This course will provide students with first-hand experience interpreting in the performing arts setting. Students, under the guidance and supervision of ASLI faculty, will collaborate with the UTRGV Theatre department in preparation of interpreting for stage performances. Topics will include interpreting preparation processes, character development, script analysis, environmental logistics, and interpreter team collaborations. Knowledge will be applied as students observe and perform live stage productions.
Prerequisite
ASLI 3325 and
ASLI 3340, Junior Standing, Formal acceptance to ASLI Program, consent of instructor.
