ENVR 5322 Advanced Soil Chemistry

This course is designed for graduate students who are interested in soil science, environmental remediation, and agricultural and natural resource conservation in a chemistry context. This course will provide students with the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to understand and solve agricultural and environmental problems in soil chemistry. Topics include soil minerals, organic matter, water/soil solution chemistry, redox reactions in soil, gas exchange reactions between soil, plant, and air continuum, and sorption of inorganic and organic contaminants.
