HGEN 8342 Computing Skills for Research

The course is designed to provide students with a broad understanding and practical skills in computing topics for research. The course will cover topics such as shell scripting, high-performance computing, cloud computing, preparation of structured scientific documents, bibliography/reference management, scientific visualization, version control systems, and the use of artificial intelligence in research. This will provide the foundational principles that remain relevant even with constant changes in the software landscape.
