MEDI 8521 Health Systems Science Year 2

The Health Systems Science (HSS) Module year 2 provides the foundation of the application of health systems, health care delivery, epidemiology, biostatistics, insurance, quality, safety, value, social and cultural contexts of medicine. Students will practice critical skills including, professionalism, evidence-based medicine, and respect for cultural norms and values learned in HSS year 1. Learning activities occur in large and small groups as well as self-directed learning, which includes team-based learning and case-based analysis and discussion. Proposed assessments include discrete point formative and summative activities and exams, simulations, oral and written assignments, and self-assessments.

Course Modality: Hybrid/Reduced Seat Time Course: This course will combine online delivery and on-campus instruction.
