MARS 4333 Marine Conservation, Policy and Management

An overview of conservation practice for marine and coastal ecosystems. This course takes a whole-systems approach to investigating threats to biological diversity and the potential for the place-based management of marine ecosystems. Specific topics include overharvesting, bioinvasions, nutrient overenrichment, marine reserves, legal regimes, and policy instruments.
