ACCT 4336 Accounting Data Analytics

This course introduces students to the data analytics mindset, concepts, and tools used by accounting professionals. It enables students to advance their accounting knowledge by applying analytical techniques to accounting concepts examined in prior courses. Students will learn how to employ data analytics skills and technologies used by accounting and auditing professionals to ask the right questions, examine and analyze accounting data, and interpret and communicate the results to make business decisions.

Prerequisite

Grade of "C" or better in ACCT 3322, ACCT 3326, and QUMT 3341. Senior standing. All students pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, or Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management from VCoBE, must apply for and be admitted to VCoBE before they are allowed to enroll in the Advanced Business Core and Major coursework for their degree.
