SURG 9523 General Surgical Internship Readiness

The purpose of this elective is to prepare senior medical students who have matched into a surgical specialty. This elective is a surgical "boot camp" to provide practical "hands on" experience for students. Students will learn the basics from answering a page, replacing electrolytes, advanced suturing, basics of laparoscopy, vent management and other common intern responsibilities.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of the MS3 Surgery Clerkship
