CMPE 4367 Fiber Optic Communications

Introduction to optics, photonics, and optoelectronics; fiber optic devices; and communication systems. Topics include ray optics, electromagnetic optics, resonator optics, dielectric waveguides and filters, semiconductor and laser light sources and detectors, modulators, amplifiers, connectors and optical fiber communication systems. Crosslisted with CMPE 4367.
