ECON 3341 Econometrics

Studies standard regression procedures of parameter estimation and hypothesis testing in economics. This course covers basic probability concepts, the linear regression model, the properties of the least squares estimators, hypothesis testing, functional form, heteroskedasticity, autocorrelation, and the basics of panel data estimation and simultaneous equation.

Prerequisite

ECON 2301, ECON 2302, and (QUMT 2341 or MATH 1342). All students pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, or Bachelor of Science in Materials Management and Logistics from VCoBE, must apply for and be admitted to VCoBE before they are allowed to enroll in the Advanced Business Core and Major coursework for their degree.
