ENTR 4338 Social Entrepreneurship
This course will introduce student to the core concepts, practices and challenges of social entrepreneurship, using entrepreneurial skills to craft innovative responses to social problems. Students will explore a variety of resources, including case studies and presentations, to facilitate learning and the ability to plan for, launch, and scale sustainable social ventures. This is a highly experiential course where students will partner with local for-profit and non-profit organizations to develop new or improve existing social initiatives. Students may also design their own programs that target specific community or social needs.
Prerequisite
All students pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, or Bachelor of Science in Materials Management and Logistics from VCoBE, must apply for and be admitted to VCoBE before they are allowed to enroll in the Advanced Business Core and Major coursework for their degree.
