MECE 4381 Experimental Orthopaedic Biomechanics
This course covers the following topics on musculoskeletal system: statics, dynamics, kinematics data and processing, anthropometry, kinetics (forces and moments), mechanical work, energy and power, synthesis of human movement forward solutions, three-dimensional kinematics and kinetics, muscle mechanics, kinesiological electromyography, utilization of computational packages in orthopedic biomechanics to include finite element analysis. Labs for investigating muscle activity, ground reaction forces, and kinematic data for tasks such as walking, squatting, and running are included in the course.
