EXAR 7335 Expressive Arts Therapy with Children and Adolescents

Students will develop a more comprehensive knowledge of the use of expressive arts in working with the unique needs of children and adolescents across individual, couples, family, and group interventions. Special attention will be given to treatment foci related to work with this population, which includes disabilities, substance abuse, and trauma. The course also addresses approaches for identifying specific expressive arts modalities for use with children and adolescents and address professional and ethical issues within the use of expressive arts.
