User Experience and User Interface Design Certificate - Accelerated Online Program

Overview

The 12-credit, 4-course certificate in User Experience and User Interface Design provides current or aspiring professionals in computing, graphic arts, communications, engineering and other related fields with skills in satisfying user needs through the development of effective interfaces with digital products. This interdisciplinary certificate introduces students to concepts of user-centered design, valid methodologies for understanding user needs, and their applications in digital platforms. Participants will gain improved understanding about how users interact with computing technology, in order to achieve organizational goals through better user experiences.

This program is only offered in an accelerated format and is 100% online.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the certificate program, prospective candidates must first meet all requirements for graduate admission to UT Rio Grande Valley, as well as the other requirements listed below:

  1. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or a recognized international equivalent in a similar or related field.
  2. Undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 in the last 60 semester credit hours.
