NUTR 3452 Food Preparation

Application of scientific principles in food selection and preparation (conventional and microwave cooking). Consideration is given to the composition and properties of food, nutritional value, desirability standards, menu services for simple and large scale preparations and food economics. Students will also take the servesafe training and certification exam and will have hands on experience on preparing different types of food.
