POLS 4334 Contemporary International Issues

This course is the study of current issues and events that are occurring in the international system through the lens of international relations. It will focus on current relations and issues between actors in the international system including states, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, multinational corporations, and other nonstate actors. Topics covered during the course include great power politics, global inequality, globalization, current conflicts, global migration/refugees, human rights, global crime, demographics, health, and environmental issues, as well as the role of states, international organizations, and other non-state actors concerning these topics.
