POLS 4355 U.S. Labor Policy

Students will examine: (1) The importance of labor to political-economic philosophy; (2) The early and enduring tactics of labor to counter the power of capital; (3) The policy successes achieved by, and the new policy dilemmas facing, the U.S. labor movement from the 1920s to the 1980s; and (4) The labor-movement crisis under neoliberalism.
