Program Overview

The Cyber Security Basics Certificate introduces a student to the foundational content necessary for understanding cyber security concepts.  All the courses from this undergraduate certificate program are fully transferable into the Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security. The undergraduate certificates may not share hours amongst each other.

Admission requirements for this program beyond university admission requirements. 

  • Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate bachelor's program to be admitted to the Cybers Security Basics certificate. 
  • Students must have completed MATH 2412 Precalculus with a grade of "C" or better. Students who enter the program without completing MATH 2412 with a grade of "C" or better will have their transcripts assessed by the program coordinator to ensure leveling requirements are met.

Specific graduation requirements for this program beyond university bachelor’s degree requirements. 

  • Students must complete all certificate courses with a grade of "C" or better. 

 

Certificate Requirements - 13 hours

Program Leveling:

Students must complete MATH 2412 prior to beginning the certificate courses.

MATH 2412Precalculus

MATH 2412 must be completed with a grade of "C" or better. Students who have completed MATH 2412 as part of their major, minor or other program requirement will not be required to fulfill the four credits hours of mathematics.
