COMD 4340 Speech and Hearing Sciences

This course introduces students in speech-language pathology to the fundamentals of speech science including a review of basic acoustics, wave analysis, resonance and acoustics of the vocal tract, acoustic features of vowels and consonants, and suprasegmentals of speech. Information will be provided by class lectures, readings, videos, lab demonstrations, and class discussions.
