EECE 6357 Computer Network Security

This course will cover the fundamentals of computer network security and the science and engineering behind providing confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information in data networks. The protocol architecture and cross-layer security techniques will be discussed, including symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic encryption schemes, digital signatures, cross-layer security vulnerabilities, mitigation schemes, packet filtering, firewall design principles, and other emerging technologies.
