EECE 6365 Advanced Energy Systems

The fundamentals of smart energy systems used in wide-scale network utility operations are covered. Discussions about energy systems worldwide, including smart energy systems inclusive of distributed renewable sources, will be addressed. Energy systems will cover steady state operation at the cutting edge of the present development. Students will be able to recognize and consider, on a wide-scale basis, smart grids, real-time analysis, energy management systems, flexible- reliable-intelligent-energy-delivery systems, optimal energy analysis, and distributed energy sources. In addition to topics covered, students complete reports and presentations during the course, each counting equally as exams.
