MANE 6359 Sustainable Energy
This course provides an introduction to sustainable energy conversion, solar energy, passive solar technology, solar thermal heat utilization, solar thermal power plants, photovoltaic power generation, wind energy, tidal energy, ocean energy hydropower, hydroelectricity, geothermal energy, hydrogen energy, biomass energy, bioenergy/biofuels, fundamental of renewable energy systems and supply, as well as leading storage technologies, electrochemical approaches to electrical energy storage, electrochemical energy conversions and fuel cells, the economics of sustainable energy, conversion principles and technology behind various renewable energy sources, and an introduction to climate change.
