SPED 6320 Survey of Exceptionalities

This course is an overview of major theoretical ideas and empirical research on special education and individual differences. The course reviews basic concepts of developmental psychology, the methods for studying it, and its foundational approaches/perspectives. The course explores differences across special education settings and services and provides an opportunity for students to draw on their own experiences as they weigh research on best practices.
