PMSB 9509 Externship 4

The students in Year 4 are afforded the opportunity to participate in Podiatric Medicine, Surgery and Biomechanics clinical rotations of their own choosing at affiliated programs. During the first five months of their senior year, students will be away at externship programs nationwide. This allows the fourth year student to experience various healthcare settings and residency program environments. Externship programs are available through the AACPM. Application process starts the summer of their 3rd year. Each student is responsible for completing the on-line application for each of the program in a timely manner. It is also the students’ responsibility to provide the necessary documentation required by each individual program. Incomplete paperwork may result in the student not being admitted to their desired externship program. The assigned clinical faculty at each affiliated program will assess the student’s performance at the end of the clinical rotation.
