Emphasis is placed on the normal functions of respiration, circulation, digestion and metabolism, defense, excretion, and reproduction. Aside from discussing all systems and investigating their functionality at the cellular, tissue, and organ levels of organization, the overlying theme of the course will be that of systems integration.
