MARK 3300 Principles of Marketing

This is an introductory course in marketing. By completing this course, students will learn the basic principles of marketing and how to analyze the marketing environment and develop a marketing plan. Important topics such as segmentation, targeting, and positioning strategies as well as product development, pricing, distribution and communication strategies are covered. In this course, emphasis is also given to ethical decisions, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability in marketing.

Prerequisite

Sophomore standing. All students pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, or Bachelor of Science in Materials Management and Logistics, or Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Managment from VCoBE, must apply for and be admitted to VCoBE before they are allowed to enroll in the Advanced Business Core and Major coursework for their degree.
