MECE 4322 Introduction to Finite Elements

This course is an introduction to finite element theory, and 1-D, 2-D, and 3-D elements formulation for linear static analysis. Application of boundary conditions, element convergence, isoparametric formulation and gauss quadrature are also examined. This course is design oriented, with a substantial component involving the use of a commercial software package.
