READ 4343 Literacy, Culture, and Diverse Learners

This course offers candidates the opportunity to teach and reflect upon the contextualized knowledge, skills and practices of English learners with diverse backgrounds. Students explore the interrelationships between funds of knowledge, culture, social class, and second language acquisition. Students will also focus on the ELPS and implications for practice.
