Program Overview

The Cyber Security Systems Certificate makes a student familiar with the systems at the core of most of the cyber security operations. All the courses from this undergraduate certificate program are fully transferable into the Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security. The undergraduate certificates may not share hours amongst each other.

Admission requirements for this program beyond university admission requirements.

  • Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate bachelor's program to be admitted to the Cyber Security Systems certificate.
  • Students must have completed the following courses with a grade of "C" or better: MATH 2412, CSCI 1380, CYBI 1101, CYBI 2322, CYBI 2324, and CYBI 2326. Students who enter the program without completing MATH 2412 with a grade of "C" or better, CSCI 1380 with a grade of "C" or better, or the other courses required for admission to the certificate will have their transcripts assessed by the program coordinator to ensure leveling requirements are met.

Specific graduation requirements for this program beyond university bachelor’s degree requirements.

Not every CYBI 4300 is eligible as an Advanced Prescribed Elective. Therefore, prior approval from the department must be secured before taking CYBI 4300.
