ENGT 3340 Applied Mechanics

This course studies the principles of forces, moments, resultants & static equilibrium of force systems, center of gravity, friction, and free body diagrams. It is also concerned with the motion (dynamics) of bodies under the action of forces. The course also includes the study of the motion of machines. A focus is placed on the application of kinematic theories to real-world machinery. It is intended to bridge the gap between a theoretical study of kinematics and the application to practical mechanisms.
