SPED 3350 Collaborative Models and Legal Issues in Special Education

This course covers the legal foundations and collaborative practices necessary for effective special education programming. It emphasizes federal and state regulations governing special education, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Students will learn best practices for collaborating with families, educators, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal mandates while fostering inclusive educational environments.
