EDUL 6302 School Culture and Ethical Leadership

This course is designed for aspiring Texas principals in Educational Leadership. The course highlights the importance of building strong relationships with students, staff, families, and community partners through effective communication, consensus-building, and inviting practices. Through practical application and reflective practice, candidates will develop the skills necessary to engage all stakeholders in the ongoing improvement of their school community. Additionally, this course provides a strong emphasis on ethical leadership. Centered around the Texas Educators’ Code of Ethics (TAC Chapter 247), the course prepares candidates to implement campus policies and procedures that ensure compliance with ethical standards among all personnel. Candidates will learn to model and promote the highest standards of conduct, ethical principles, and integrity in every aspect of decision-making, actions, and behavior.
