HIST 3338 United States-Mexico Borderlands after 1821
A study of the US-Mexico borderlands, including conflicts over Texas, the US-Mexico War, and Indigenous agency across changing boundaries during the nineteenth century. This course also includes topis such as borderlands conflict, race, and the impact of trade and immigration on the transnational region. This course involves readings and materials that reflect the bilingual and transnational setting of the topic of study and our university.
