BMEE 6424 Engineering Mechanics III: Statics, Solids, and Manufacturing Processes

This course provides an introduction to: (1) statics including the study of forces, moments, friction, centers of mass, gravity, and pressure using the equations of equilibrium in vector algebraic and calculus forms; (2) the behavior of solid materials, especially their motion and deformation under the action of forces, temperature changes, phase changes, and other external or internal agents; and (3)  manufacturing processes for metals, plastics, composites, and ceramics, as well as additive manufacturing and 3D-printing.
