COMD 6390 Autism Spectrum Disorder and Other Developmental Disorders

The course will provide students with an overview of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disorders. Topics covered include human development and evidence-based classification, etiology, diagnosis, assessment, and intervention with an emphasis on associated communication characteristics. Additionally, special topics and current issues related to ASD and other developmental disorders will be addressed.
