PAFF 6334 Current Issues in Public Policy/Global Security

The field of global security requires students to focus on evolving current issues. This course concentrates on current issues in public policy and may be repeated for up to six credit hours as long as the topic varies. Topics include social identities and culture, intergovernmental organizations, international change agents, global poverty, human rights, and other timely issues selected from international development, environmental, economic development, health care, and national security policy issues. The topics will vary but will always include issues that are traditional and non-traditional. Theoretical explanations and controversies are explored and evaluated for policy solutions.
