EECE 6338 Introduction to IoT

This course introduces concepts of the Internet of Things (IoT), the background of IoT, the building block of IoT, IoT Architecture, and IoT enabling technologies. Topics also include major components of IoT (Hardware and software), sensors and actuators in IoT applications, calibration and performance analysis of IoT devices, static and dynamic characteristics of IoT devices, systematic errors, and data uncertainty. This course envisions deliberate a deep in thought perception of statistical analysis of IoT data, data acquisition and signal processing principles, IoT devices and introduction to various buses, Fundamentals of Embedded Systems for IoT, Connectivity of IoT, and IoT case studies.
