SOCW 6390 Working with the Involuntary Client

This course is designed to instruct students on the tasks and skills that are conducive to effective changes or outcomes when working with involuntary or individuals legally mandated to engage in services. Emphasis is given to the use of an empirically based integrated pro-social model of intervention with attention given to the efficacy for use with vulnerable and at-risk populations including individuals abusing alcohol/drugs, mental health clients, criminal justice, and child protective services.
