SOCW 6398 Social Work in Healthcare

This course focuses on the healthcare system, clients as consumers of health, and healthcare issues as they relate to social work practice. An examination of health-related settings and the diverse skills, roles, and functions of social workers will be studied within a team intervention approach with emphasis on gender, ethnic and cultural aspects of healthcare.
